Teenage Boys

SMAT SKILLS

As part of our initiative, we are also committed to supporting teenage boys to gain the necessary skills needed to prepare them for adulthood. Part of this initiative is helping the teenage boys to gain skills around SMAT (Science, Mathematics, Art, and Technology).

We do this by organising free short courses, an Online Bootcamp and a series of seminars. We have facilitators and teachers who are volunteers with hands-on years of experience in their various fields.

All our courses, programmes and events are free for all teenagers. As part of our focus for the next five years, we want to empower 300 underrepresented vulnerable teenage boys from minority groups in the UK to gain SMAT skills that can help them either become entrepreneurs or get rewarding jobs.

COACH AND MENTORING

We are also aware that teenage boys are confronted with many challenges that they find hard to talk about. Teenage boys on a daily basis battle with bullies, gang influence, identity struggles, abuse and many other things. When there is no support to help them win these battles, the majority of them end up giving up. Our goal is to be on the battlefield with these boys; to show them that they are not alone and they can get all the support they need to achieve their ambition.

Therefore, we provide free coaching and mentoring short-long term support to teenage boys by peering them with a coach/mentor. All our coaches and mentors are volunteers who have a passion for helping and are well-experienced in the areas where the boys need help and guidance.

All our coaches and mentors are properly verified with background checks through DBS. The UK government through the Police Department and Child Protection Department also informed about the support being provided to the boys.
